Some leaders walk into a room with authority. Others carry something even greater—light. For over 18 years in the museum and arts world, Tamar has been that light. From Nashville to Virginia Beach, she has built spaces where culture, resilience, and faith are preserved and celebrated. Currently, she serves as Chief of Staff at The Museum of Black Women Innovators (MOBWI) and ARDX, shaping strategy while championing community and creativity.

Some leaders measure success in titles. Others measure it in how faithfully they stand when things get hard. When Donna Gill gave three months’ notice at a mission-driven nonprofit, it was already agreed that she would eventually move into a higher role elsewhere. But when unexpected leadership transitions left gaps that could have disrupted services for survivors of domestic violence, Donna chose not to walk away.
